Another Post About Inspiration
Create the life you want, NOW.
I get so many emails from people who feel stuck in their lives asking for advice on how to create a life like ours. Never in a million years did I think I’d be inspiring someone else. But I’m so honored and however I can help, it’s my pleasure. So I keep writing these tidbits of wisdom, and hoping they become words of inspiration to create the life you want, NOW.

What is holding you back?
But the biggest challenge is the belief YOU cannot do it. These self-sabotaging thoughts are based in fear. Once you move beyond the fear, you can do anything you are inspired to do!
I’m not going to lie to you, it takes some planning, it takes some preparation and it takes some finances. But once you move through the practical side of planning, your greatest obstacle (as in life) will always be your thoughts. Choose your thoughts carefully and once you’ve learned to align the thoughts with your passion, inspiration and desires, you can take on a lifestyle of this sort.
There are numerous web sites, books, and seminars about living a location independent life, working remotely and freelancing for a living. I do not focus on those specifically on my own web site, but I can recommend anyone considering this kind of lifestyle, read the books The Four Hour Work Week and Vagabonding.
The rest will fall in place. I assure you.
I believe our experience of the outer world is a reflection of what’s going on in our own inner worlds. If you travel with fear, you attract situations that warrant fear. We feel safe in the world, therefore the world is a safe place for us. We are filled with love and compassion, therefore our experiences are filled with love and compassion. It’s an awesome lesson and one we probably couldn’t have had being somewhat entranced in a conventional lifestyle.

I strongly agree. Many people believe they can’t do something and if they don’t try, they’ll never find out. Inspiring writing Lainie, than you for sharing.

Thanks Agness for the comment. Sometimes it’s easier to know those things then to act upon them. I love to write about this because it’s a reminder to myself as we are all a work in progress.

It is so true Lainie. Belief is part of it and so is acting on that belief to keep it alive. Thanks for the inspiration.

I think it starts when we are kids and have big draems. We have then and yet we are not given the time to pursue them, to spend hours and hours pursuing them. Everyone else has an agenda for us, from teachers to parents. Some people push those draems down so far they never come back. They fall into the trap that media and big corporations want them to fall into- thinking consumerism IS the dream. My number one goal as a parent is to give my children the time to dream and to pursue dreams. We’re taught from childhood that our draems should be the big house in the suburbs and a white picket fence. If we want something else, it’s beaten out of us at an early age.

Miro & Lainie (mother 46 and 13 year old son) share their adventures from the Road of Life, discussing issues of humanity, global citizenship, unschooling, slow travel, family travel, volunteering, travel inspiration & living in the moment as they explore the big beautiful planet, they call home.
Three and half years, 12 countries and many personal changes later, Lainie & Miro continue to slow travel around the globe, living an inspired possession-free-lifestyle, volunteering and learning naturally. They are following their interests on the road, as the planet has been transformed into their classroom. Often you will hear Lainie say “we are blessed to be accidental unschoolers” and has become and an advocate for “life learning” at any age. Lainie & Miro describe their greatest accomplishment as the ability to participate in the world without fear.Connect with Us!
