Okay, I know this sounds way out there, but just bear with me. A few days ago we went to a magic show. The beginning of the show was a bit cliche, Card tricks, Mending rubber bands together, and pulling a rabbit out of his hat. Okay he didn’t actually do that last one but what I’m trying to say is the beginning of the show wasn’t all that spectacular.
But, the middle part of the show is what caught my attention.
He pulled out 2 forks and 2 spoons from the kitchen, and then called me up as a volunteer. I stood up, not knowing what to expect. The magician asked me if I was right or left handed. I told him I am right handed. He instructed me to extend my right arm, and I did. He placed a fork in the palm of my hand. He then told me to rub my hands together slowly, with the fork still in there. I did this a for about a full minute, and to my surprise, the fork was bent. He then told me to raise my left arm. After doing so, he placed the bent fork into the palm of my other hand. He then told me to extend my index finger and rub a certain part of the fork. Another minute passed, and the fork was bent even more. He then compared it the the other fork, and the difference was huge. He then told me to sit down, and moved onto his next trick. The magician began wiggling a spoon back and forth softly, and after 15 seconds of this, the head of the spoon snapped off and fell to the floor. For the rest of the show, I couldn’t figure it out.
I wonder if I ever will.
