Being Grateful
Today is one of most celebrated holidays on the planet, and in honor of the spirit of giving, I want to express our appreciation and gratitude for coming along with us on this journey.
Be Thankful
Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire,
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don’t know something
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge
Because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you’re tired and weary
Because it means you’ve made a difference.
It is easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are
also thankful for the setbacks.
GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles
and they can become your blessings.

Hi there, just found your site through another blogger’s year-end wrap-up, and so glad I did. Your writing is as intriguing as your story (I was a single dad for 6 years, so I can relate), but what I love most is your philosophy. Raising Miro with this “attitude of gratitude” will help him to become a healthier, happier adult, and that is in my opinion the greatest gift we can give our children. We’ll definitely be keeping up with your future posts!

Diana, thank you so much for the lovely note! I must admit, I don’t always feel brave. In fact, a lot of times that’s the farthest thought from my mind.. but I don’t think about it and try to just be present. I am so touched by the idea that we may be making a difference some how. My passion is inspiration and if I can light that spark inside of someone else, I am so fulfilled. Trusting inspiration is the opposite of focusing on fear, and if some call that being brave, then I suppose that’s what it is.. nnMuch love and light to you and your family and a happy 2012!!
