Graffiti + Street Art = Culture
Words and symbols are all around us. Sometimes they are part the environment but they always part of the culture. Often times, we find the messages contained universal. Street art has always been my favorite way to get a sense of the local culture. I hope you enjoy this series.
This is a 2 part series, so be sure to check out Part 2 here.
We are proud to present our Street Art images from Montañita, Ecuador:

Love them. I always take snaps of graffiti too, even more so since a policeman in Rome threatened to take my camera when I was snapping graffiti on a train.how….made me feel a part of the rebellion!
I know nothing about it as an art form (other than I am sure it IS an art form!)…. but it’s interesting the simmilarities between your photos and graffiti I see here in the Canary Islands.
