Inner Peace through Travel

I was recently asked to guest post for Life Coach Mary’s blog, a wonderful  resource  for everything related to Inner Peace.  Life Coach Mary asked me to write an article for her about  accessing my inner peace through long-term travel. This was something I could clearly talk about. I write about our genesis which brought Miro & I to the place we now are and the article is revealing on a personal level. I wanted to share with you a snippet  of it here. To read the whole article, please go here.

Happy Birthday Miro!

Happy Birthday Miro!

Once, I promised you the world!
I can’t believe it’s been twelve years since you came into my life. In that time, you have added so much meaning into mine.I am so grateful for your presence as you’ve taught me so much about being in the moment and loving what is.  In fact, you have taught me how to love, unconditionally, and I do love you so much for that!
Much has changed in our life circumstances, but as we move through this world together, I know you are the reason I am here, …

Podcast Episode #21 – ‘Getting Global’ with Tales of a Female Nomad’s Rita Golden Gelman

In Episode #21 Lainie & Miro explore the concept of long- term travel, or being a nomad. Then, Lainie has the great honor of speaking with one of her personal heroes, Tales of a Female Nomad author. Rita Golden Gelman shares her thoughts on humanity, travel, trust and her new project, ‘Let’s Get Global’.

“I am a modern-day nomad. I have no permanent address, no possessions except the ones I carry, and I rarely know where I’ll be six months from now. I move through the world without a plan, guided by instinct, connecting through trust, and constantly watching for serendipitous opportunities.”

Love on the Road – What’s the point?

“What’s the point?”
…I hear myself say in response to a friend who calls me on it. I have known this friend for only three weeks, but she seems to understand my defenses, and challenges my words.
The question she asked me was, “why don’t you pursue it?”
My automatic response was, “What’s the point?” And in that moment, I actually believed there was none.
All experiences, whether perceived good or bad, painful or joyful create the mosaic of who we are. I’ve written about friendships on the road, all which ultimately lead to …
