Travel Inspires!
Aside from always leaving you wanting more, travel possesses a few other transformative qualities. It can change the way you view the world, yourself, and those around you.
Gaining a Global Perspective
Every country’s news media reflects the viewpoint of that specific country. When you meet new people from different cultures, you start to get all the other sides of the story and piece together a new international worldview that can only be gained through foreign exposure.

This guest post comes to us from a wonderful couple we met traveling in Manizales Colombia. We had the opportunity to share a hiking adventure through the Los Nevados mountains . Even though we have said goodbye in real life, we have kept in touch through emails ever since we met. Through our travels, Miro and I have met the most wonderful people and it’s our honor to share with you here, their story of inspiration.

Finding Your Inspiration
As a kid growing up in the big city, I would constantly gaze up at the majesty of the skyscrapers downtown in an uninhibited state of wonder. How was something like this possible? Bereft of any sort of engineering knowledge, I understood them to be a product of some type of magic. Oswaldo Guayasamin
Hands down, the highlight of our short time in Ecuador’s capital city of Quito, was our visit to Oswaldo Guayasamin’s: The Chapel Of Man Monument . Prior to arriving in Ecuador, I had not experienced Guayasamin’s art, but from our first step in the nation’s capital, the importance of his work to the collective consciousness was clear, reminiscent of the role Joan Miro plays in Barcelona, Spain. Reproductions of Guayasamin’s art were everywhere, sucking me into the haunting …

Fernando Botero
Here’s a little post I wrote on Botero. My mom was behind on the posts, so I offered to help out. She gave me Botero. I really enjoyed researching his life probably because I really like his art.
Fernando Botero was born on the 19th of April, 1932 in the Colombian city of Medellin. His father David was a business man and his mother Flora was a seamstress. His father died when Botero was 4 years old. Thankfully, one of his Uncles took a major role in his life. When Fernando Botero was 16 he published his first …
