We love having friends in every country and from around the world.

But if you’ve never tried it, the idea of staying with strangers in their homes can be daunting to some.
All I can do is share our experiences with you and let you decide what’s right for you.

A Global Movement – Occupy Love

Love – The new global citizen
I just watched this short video and was deeply moved. What rang true for me with the idea that on a mass scale, consciousness is expanding through love. How does this begin? First, one’s sense of self expands as we engage in the act of love. Love in the moment and loving every single interaction that happens during your day. Love for humanity, love for the man who cut you off in your car. Love for your family, love for the stranger who crossed your …

Not exactly what you expected to read, was it? But let’s back up just a bit….

The subject of the ‘American Dream’ has been a recent been a hot topic among many of our fellow family travel bloggers, we have decided to share our collective thoughts, with our own unique perspectives on the dream, so many base …

This is a rescue located an hour and a half from Banos in a small town called Puyo. This is a sanctuary that houses about 65 monkeys of 5 different species, as well as a host of other animals including coatis, agoutis, tortoises, and …

The Children of Baños -A Photo Essay -Part 2

The Spirit of Children – An Opening of the Heart
“Learning is finding out what we already know. Doing is demonstrating that you know it. Teaching is reminding others that they know just as well as you. You are all learners, doers, and teachers.” – Richard Bach
Miro and I had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer with children in Baños, Ecuador for a two month period.  The biggest gift we received from our volunteering experience was forming a wonderful relationship with all the amazing children the foundation served. This post is Part 2 of a photo essay …

Got Your World Passport?
[16 Sep 2011 | 7 Comments | ]
Got Your World Passport?

What if you were globally minded?
What if you felt like you belong to the world, rather than one country. What if you didn’t feel alliances with a particular nation, even your country of origin?
