No Obese People in Manizales?
We were just in Manizales, And I was astounded to see huge numbers of sweet snacks
(My favorite is the brownie, which I am sure has tons of sugar) .
I was even more astounded that there were little to no obese people.
I walked down street and I saw no obese people in sight. Why is this? There has to be at least 30 sweets and candy stores, quite a few fast food restaurants and no obese people to be found? Why? Maybe because half of the population is elderly, but

A few days ago I had a crazy dream.
It started like this:
My mom and I got off some sort of train, and then a Giant Rainbow bird, that sprouts balloons attacked me. I waved my arms frantically, and the bird flew away. Then, some guy shows up and I follow him.
We go to an empanada store, and I thought we were going to buy something, so I *Accidentally* Pocket 2 of them.
And then we keep walking.
Eventually I lost the guy I was following and I found myself composing a marching band.

A $2 plate of food in Nicaragua

With the exception of Costa Rica and Nicaragua, the food on our travels have been pretty good.
Mexico was all kinds of different explosions of taste, Belize was loads of heavenly fried jacks, Guatemala was like Costa Rica and Nicaragua but a little better, Honduras had an amazing bean and cheese dip. El Salvador was probably my favorite though.

Mmmmm…
Although I usually don’t blog about food, I had to share this. Miro and I had agreeably one of THE BEST meal of our lives! A complex 12 course dinner at Manolo Caracol Casco Viejo. No menu, just 12 courses of amazing dishes kept on being brought to our table, from ceviche, carpaccio,, fish soup, octopus and shrimp kabobs, veal and glazed onions, pork loin, flakey fish, butternut …squash with wild rice, topped off with the most amazing chocolate morsel.

The Panama City Seafood Market
We are loving the sights and sounds of Panama City, being a very modern port town. The seafood is spectacular, abundant and fresh all throughout the city. Today, we visited the largest seafood market I’ve ever been to.
