Hawaii- One of the Beautiful Places

Hawaii
I love looking back at all the beautiful places we’ve been. It’s one we continue to feel gratitude for all of the blessings in our lives. One of the earliest trips Miro and I took together was our visit to one of the most beautiful places in the world, the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. Miro was 7 and we spent 2 wonderful weeks together at the world-famous Waikiki Beach.
Oahu is 3rd largest of the islands and has the greatest population, of close to one million people. Over 75% of the …

Phoenix, it’s been grand…Next stop, LA. (air con all the way) 11:10 AM Jul 9th, 2009 via Twittelator
The next day was routine, low energy and very satisfying knowing it will be over soon. We hit the road fairly early, eager to get out of the armpit called ‘Phoenix’. Miro said goodbye to his dad, a little emotional, but sweet, while Steve, once again, fiddled with the camper.

There wasn’t a lot of traffic and the ride back was uneventful. I checked my …

Good morning Sedona! Going to head out soon to explore Cathedral Rock Vortex then off to Buddha beach…stay tuned 10:29 AM Jul 8th, 2009 via Twittelator

Both Steve and Greg weren’t into taking the day to hike up one of the vortexes. (a little too “new agey” for them) The night before I shared my experience when I visited Sedona about 6 years ago as part of a (spiritual) retreat. Our group made the hike to one of the …

http://twitpic.com/9j2jc – Majestic view of the Grand Canyon, North Rim. Pictures don’t do it justice… 3:15 PM Jul 6th, 2009 via TwitP
Yes! Today is the day we are head to the Grand Canyon. As beautiful as Zion Canyon was, it was difficult to say good bye. Also, the cooler temperature helped as well. Steve assured us that the Grand Canyon would be cooler yet and Steve insisted on hitting the road. We were headed the North Rim, despite a recommendation …

Goodbye Lake Mead, hello Zion Utah. 10:21 AM Jul 5th, 2009 via Twittelator
We woke up the next morning, ready to leave Lake Mead on route to Mount Zion, Utah. We had much road to cover and I was happy to get a move on.. After packing up camp, Steve pulled out his trusty maps and a course was set. Greg climbed back into the back seat and Miro, Henry and I remained up front with Steve..

For a few hours, the driving was uneventful. …
