Great Advice if you are planning on slow traveling, moving to, or volunteering in Central America.

Copan Ruins best experienced with cape.

The Copan Ruins are evidence of a great Mayan city, which reached its peak between 600 and 800 BC. Archeologists believe the city was completely abandoned by 1200 BC and the jungle surrounded the city grew over the remains.
The grounds are sprawling, and most of the buildings are well preserved including the Great Plaza, the ball court, the hieroglyphic staircase, and the building known as the “Acropolis”. Copan Ruins are often referred to as the Paris of the Mayan world because of the huge …

Sorry we didn’t call yesterday, we couldn’t get a connection via the vonage phone, and I kept on checking to see if you randomly signed on to skype…
Anyway, we’ve just arrived here in Copan, Honduras, which is the north of the country. It´s a beautiful town and it looks like there is much to do here. There are the famous ruins, horse back riding, waterfalls, etc.
We´re planning on staying here for 5 days and then we´re oft to Antigua after that.
