Back Through the Mirror
It was a mistake coming here. Why did I do this!? My friends and I performed a “ritual”. It was Halloween at midnight and we thought we would do something ‘spooky’ for some laughs. It was the first ritual that came up after searching. How were we supposed to know it would work!?
We got sucked into the mirror, absorbed into an inverted world. I’m the only one left. The others… I don’t know what happened to them, but I’m sure I’ll find out soon.
My only hope of escape is through the mirror that we came from, but I’m not eager to return there; Some evil entity lurks around the portal. I’m currently hiding in a closet in some suburban house, some creature chased me here, but gave up the chase once I hid myself. I think it’s gone now. Let me check.
Yeah, it’s gone. At least I think it is. I can hardly see anything. The colors of this world are inverted. The night sky is a blinding white, and what we know as light provides a stunning blackness.
Alright, I’m heading back. I can’t stay here any longer, lest I go insane. I have to confront the ghoul if I need to go back, and now’s as good a time as any. I walk down the solid white pavement, attempting to find my way back home. Wait, is that Marissa?
I approach the figure I saw in the distance, quickly, but cautiously. I extend my arm and place it on her shoulder.
“Marissa?”
She turns to me, showing her ebony face; her eyes, solid white.
“Marissa? Can you hear me?”
She stays motionless, paying me no sign of acknowledgement. She just stands there, blankly staring into the distance.
I look at her and keep moving. She’s beyond my help at this point, the corruption of this world must have overtaken her. I must escape with haste, if I don’t want the same fate to befall unto myself.
I enter the house, the mirror reflection of my own home. This is where the portal lies. I run through the living room, towards the basement. I pull up the hatch and enter carefully descending into the brightness.
Black orbs of candlelight dot the basement, illuminating the horrid scene in front of me.
Jon and Derek, the other two friends who entered this world with me, were hanging from the pipes on the ceiling. Both of them seemed to stare at me, a crooked grin sitting on their face. They gently swung back and forth, intently watching me. I stepped to the mirror, reciting the chant that granted us entry to this sick and twisted place.
“Gool Rah Gyt Hneg.”
The wraith took notice of me, and my attempt to leave. It flew to me, trying to stop me before the
chant became to powerful.
“Gool Rah Gyt Hneg!”
The chants power knocked it back, giving me enough time to yell the final chant.
“GOOL RAH GYT HNEG!”
The force of the shouted chant dispersed the ghoul into nothingness.
My reflection in the mirror slowly faded, it’s essence flying into my body, my essence flying into
its.
I opened my eyes, and was greeted by our earthly colors. I escaped… I made it!
I look around the basement, and see my friends sitting next to me, in a circle, holding hands.
“Everyone ready?”
Everyone nodded their heads, and began to chant.

Genuine point of view, very good, even if the hanging was too much for me (personal history).
