The Dark Carnival
“Alright, but hurry up. I’ll wait out here.”
“Thanks babe, be out in a jiff!”
After giving your girlfriend a kiss, you step into the mirror room. Amazed by all of the reflections and trickery, you run farther into the hall. It takes you a while to find your way out, but you eventually reach the exit. Swinging the door open, you look out into the carnival.
It’s dark out. Just how long did you spend in there?
You look around. There isn’t a single soul in sight. You grab a lantern hanging on the wall, and you start to look for somebody, anybody.
After walking around the carnival for a few minutes, you begin to feel fear. You try to fight it off, but to no avail. It’s strong hold swelling up inside of you, growing ever more powerful.
You see something in the corner of your eye. Swiftly, you turn your head, hoping to witness whatever it was that moved. You see nothing. Paranoia overtakes you, and you run back to the
You run as fast as you can, attempting to escape whatever it is that’s following you. You look back. Nothing. You begin to run out of breath. Was the mirror room really that far?
You gain your breath again, and you continue to sprint. You feel a light sensation on your ankle.
You stumble to the ground.
It was a hand, emerging from the ground; shattering the concrete. It was clinging on to your leg.
You suddenly notice the concrete all around you begin to rise, slowly giving way. Fingers emerging from the ground.
You kick at the hand on your ankle, it releasing its grasp in pain. You rise to your feet and move as fast as you can. The mirror room is just ahead. You reach it just in time, as hands and fingers consume the entire ground outside.
You hide in the dark room, unable to see the reflection of yourself. You go deeper in; it’s only a matter of time before “It” consumes this room. As you reach the depths of the room, you sit there, rocking back and forth. The hall begins to shake, and you close your eyes.
Unexpectedly, the room lights up with a piercing brightness. The lights are on!
You slowly get up, and you walk to entrance. You open the door, hundreds of people enjoying the carnival.
“What took you so long?” Your girlfriend glaring at you.
Without a word, you move closer to her, and kiss her. The feeling of fingers invades your mouth.
