Innovations that are guided by smallholder farmers, adapted to local circumstances, and sustainable for the economy and environment will be necessary to ensure food security in the future.

Our bi-weekly visit to the San Pedro Market offers us everything we need; all of our grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, meats and packaged goods. The isles in this market look very different than the shiny sterile shelfs in America’s super-mega stores. I prefer the quaintness and colors here.

Your market photos look great — nice and colorful as well as interesting subject matter.
Those fruit drinks with the watermelon and kiwi slices look very tasty.
The pig’s head and its tongue sticking out like that is kinda sad… oh well…

Fab photos and a fab way to shop-I bet the pig had a better life(and death) than the pigs on our supermarket shelves!
