3 Bali Tours You Should Go On

23 January 2012 One Comment

In Indonesia, Bali is a tropical island with perfect beaches of white sands. Traditional and resort villages dot the seashore, and the island also has rainforests, mountains and streams with stunning waterfalls. The island culture is rich in music, dances and fascinating art of various types. Professional English-speaking guides lead tours of Bali exploring some of its richest natural and cultural treasures. Here are three of the top tours offered on the island:

Bangli Cycling and Canoeing Tours

Small groups meet in the morning in Bangli and ride bicycles to a small village near Mt. Batur. Now, guides help visitors to understand and respect local culture. That may mean adapting to the fashions where limbs are covered by wearing longer shorts, especially for women and girls. Still, the day is an adventure. The friendly villagers fix a breakfast of pancakes and local fresh fruits, and then the canoeing begins at the nearby lake.

The couple hours in the canoes are filled with wildlife watching and the fun of paddling. Then, the canoe trips are followed by more biking. All the while, guides are pointing out wildlife and sites. They are friendly and tell about the history, culture and contemporary life of island locals.

Denpasar Driving Tours

Especially good for those who are visiting Bali for the first time, a drive with a professional local driver is a good way to become acquainted with the island, the local people and the culture. Such a guide can take visitors to the best restaurants and the places to taste the freshest local cuisine.

Starting in Denpasar, all the best of Bali attractions can be part of driving tours. People can take day trips that end in Denpasar each evening and then start again in the morning to tour another portion of the island. Kuta and other cities and towns in Bali also have local driver tour guides.
Cheap car hire can also be booked at the same as cheap flights to Bali and in most cases will offer a further discount, so if you plan on driving yourself, it is recommended to explore this option with your travel agent.

Sanur Boat Cruises and Diving Tours

Boat cruises starting in Sanur can discover the waters around the island and surrounding smaller islands, finding interesting secluded beaches and watching wildlife. Colorful jukung boats are similar to canoes. Jukung, glass bottomed boats and other boat types are available. Beverages are included and arrangements can be made for picnics on longer cruises.

Then, underwater safaris are amazing off the shores from Sanur, Bali. Adults and older children can learn to snorkel and dive with experts. These guides are patient with learners, and they are happy to show the hidden wonders and special habitats. All the best of equipment and safety measures are provided. If people do not have underwater cameras, they can rent them at the dive shop before heading out into the water. A relaxed and visitor-paced experience, the habitats and scenes beneath the waves are remarkable.
