Families on the Move

We have been blessed to connect with many amazing families online, all of whom have adapted a travel lifestyle in one form or another.  We wanted to take the opportunity to introduce you to them here and highlight the positive aspects travel has had on their families. Welcome our interview series called Families on the Move. Miro & I are honored to a part of this global community we consider our extended family.

A Guest Post written by Molly of ThreeDreamers.com

Three Dreamers Escape

A while back, we came across Lainie’s blog, Raising Miro. What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be! A few months later, we’re writing a post about our family for the incredible duo: Lainie and Miro!

Who are we?

My name is Molly and soon me, my mom, Natalia, and my brother, Nicholas, will be going on a grand adventure! As we stumbled upon Lainie’s blog a while back, we were totally inspired by the way of life that Lainie and Miro are living and especially the education that Miro is receiving! For a while, we also had ideas of travel lingering in the back of our minds. We can’t even begin to share, what an inspiration Lainie and Miro have been for us and the decisions we’ve made because of Lainie and Miro!

I can say confidentially that although Lainie might be a stranger that my family has never even met in person, our relationship with her has bloomed into a beautiful friendship and it’s as if we’ve known her forever.

Where am I leading with this?

Thanks to Lainie & Miro’s amazing adventures, my family is setting off on our own adventure. This coming March we will be flying from New York City to Peru! We chose Peru for many reasons. First off, I’ll share more about us. I’m 19 years old and Nicholas is 7 years old. My mom and I have chosen Peru because of the unique culture, the food, and the handcraft skills that people have in Peru. We plan to live in Cusco, Peru for a year and then we’ll see where the wind takes us. For us it’s a chance to start over, live healthy, have fun, and educate ourselves and Nicholas.

I mentioned health above, but I want to stress how important this factor was when making our decision. Nicholas was diagnosed with Leukemia and his treatment is finishing in the coming months! Because of his serious illness, we have frantically researched all options to make sure that he will be 150 Billion% healthy!!! Peru is just the place for the sort of rejuvenation that Nicholas needs. You can find some of the world’s superfoods, such as, maca, cacao (chocolate grown in Peru!), raw organic honey and all this for dirt cheap prices.

We plan to live, volunteer, explore the culture and travel the surrounding areas of Peru! First we will begin in Lima. We’ll also keep a blog of our adventures and experiences, similarly to Lainie! And aside from all that we mentioned – we are SUPER excited to finally meet Lainie and Miro!!! Love you guys!

Happy travels & love to everyone!
-Molly, Natalia, and Nicholas

Three Dreamers

Three Dreamers is a journal of one family’s adventures. These are the adventures of one mother, one daughter, and one son, (Natalia, Molly, & Nicholas). In Marc http://www.threedreamers.com

A Note of Acknowledgment

This is a wonderful guest post written by one of our readers. Molly reached out to us in the middle of last year, as her family was considering their own journey.  We’ve answered their questions, helped with information and offered advice. But most of all, we’ve  created a wonderful relationship with Molly and her family. Now they are about to embark on their own journey and we are looking forward to following their adventures. As a bonus, we will actually meet our friends, here in Peru soon. It has been such an honor to play a role in this families inspiration. ~Lainie
