Episode #1 Introduction to Raising Miro Podcast

Interviews with Human Rights Worker Roxanne and Greg, Miro’s Dad

This first episode is an introduction to Lainie (mom) and Miro (son) and their  feelings about the journey they’ve embarked on together.  The duo has been traveling for just under a year at the launch of this podcast. Since, they’ve traveled throughout all of Central America and have been inspired by both the personal  connections they’ve made and the rich cultural experiences they’ve gained. Although, the two do not have a definitive destination or end travel date in mind, Lainie’s desire to raise her son as a global citizen is the inspiration that keeps them on the road of life.

This podcast includes two interviews.

The first episode with Roxanne Krystalli,  Lainie and Miro’s former roommate in Antigua, Guatemala. Roxanne is an extraordinary woman, a passionate  visionary aid worker who designs, implements and monitors programs for women in conflict zones throughout the globe. Earlier this month, she wrapped up her world-wide two-year tour as she took time to speak with us for the premier episode of Raising Miro on the Road of Life Podcast.

Please visit Roxanne’s blog here to learn more about her life and work here:

Observations from a year of conflict management projects in communities around the world

The second interview on this podcast is conducted by Miro. Miro interviews his father Greg, about his impressions of life, seeing his son after one year and his visit to Antigua. Greg currently lives in the United States and believes in the path Lainie and Miro have taken, knowing the benefits  his son are receiving are immeasurable.

We enoyed the first pod cast. Not knowing how the technology of this works, is there a visual component to it because we could hear you but I wanted to see you you & Miro as well. It really gave me a different perspective regarding this year that you've been away. Thankfully, the contact via skype is really a great way for me to stay connected w/you. The fact that I can see you helps me feel reassured that you are safe and thriving. mom

    Hi Lainie and Miro!
I love your idea to build up those podcasts! I've just landed on your blog but will follow it closely, as I feel your testimonies are going to influence Alain's and my own way of life…
We're heading south too and hope we'll meet somewhere there in the future, maybe with the pinguins!

Thanks Clara Isabel! It is so great to meet up with you again, here, in cyber space. We miss Nicaragua dearly, and still have to write about it. Sending you and Alain much love and gratitude! Yes, hopefully our paths will cross again. Be well!
